Clear controls for sensitive conversations.

This page explains the product’s current data flow in plain language. Last updated August 14, 2026.

What Notemotion AI processes

When you start a meeting, the desktop app captures the audio sources you choose. Audio is sent to the configured speech-to-text provider so a live transcript can be produced. Questions, recent transcript context, meeting briefs, and included document text may be sent to the configured AI provider to generate responses and notes.

What is stored

Your account information, meeting records, transcript text, generated answers, notes, and documents you upload may be stored so they remain available in your account. Payment providers process payment details under their own privacy terms; Notemotion AI does not store complete card credentials.

Private overlay protection

The Windows overlay uses supported display-affinity controls intended to exclude it from common screen-share and recording paths. This is not a universal invisibility guarantee. The overlay remains visible to Windows and may be visible to unsupported capture tools, monitoring software, cameras, or other devices. Test your setup before relying on it.

Your choices

  • Choose whether to include microphone audio when starting a meeting.
  • Choose which documents are included as AI context.
  • Delete meetings and documents from the product.
  • Stop a meeting to stop live audio processing.

Security and retention

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect account data. No internet service can promise absolute security. Retention periods may depend on account status, legal requirements, abuse prevention, and backup schedules.
